Community involvement

We like to think of ourselves as part of the wider community in Portsmouth, and as such try and help where ever we can.

Charities

Since 2006, Something Interesting have been working with Fort Cancer Charity, helping to develop two websites for the charity and offering advice and help when possible.

FORT Cancer Charity is dedicated to supporting those within our community whose lives have been touched by cancer. In doing so they support the Oncology department of the Portsmouth group of hospitals, covering Gosport, Fareham, Havant, Petersfield, Chichester and Bognor Regis

University placements

We actively work with Portsmouth University in placing students on courses in short and long term placements.

Hopefully, from these placements they get a good experience of what's involved in not only creating excellent websites but project management and delivery as well as all the other aspects that go towards running a business.

Environmental policy

Although we don't have an official environmental policy, we do work hard to limit our impact on the environment by committing to the following:

  • All paper and plastic is recycled
  • Tea bags, fruit peelings and the like are composted
  • No unnecessary lights etc left on
  • Cycle / walk to work whenever possible
